Something for Everyone!

In both the Old and New Testaments, God calls for his temple to be known as a house of prayer. Therefore, the prayer ministry at Florin seeks to increase the level and depth of prayer throughout the Florin faith community by providing a variety of opportunities.

Prayer Ministry

Florin has a prayer room located just off the office area. This room provides an area for small group prayer as well as individual meditation. On Sunday mornings there is a time of prayer before the start of the first service at 8:00 a.m., and a second prayer meeting that begins at 8:45 a.m. before Sunday School.

A prayer line is available so members can call in to hear joys and concerns. This line is updated weekly. An occasional prayer breakfast provides an opportunity for large group fellowship and prayer.

The prayer ministry also extends beyond Florin and seeks to join with others to pray for the spiritual transformation of the Mt. Joy area. Sometimes this includes community prayer walks and prayer breakfasts.

Music Ministry

Instrumentalists & vocalists are needed/desired to help occasionally throughout the year, and to participate on our Praise Teams.  Musicians willing to share their musical talents may contact Marcy Price at rjprice51@comcast.net.
